Hello! My name is Lauren Snyder and I create unique handmade leather western accessories.
My signature offerings are my hybrid leather bolo tie-scarf slides. These hand made slides include special features that were cultivated specifically from my adoration of western horse tack.
In addition to the slides, I make classic bolo ties and leather wrapped feather hat bands.
I have also collaborated with my mom, who is an excellent seamstress and amazing artist to make bandana style scarves with vintage lace to wear with your scarf slides.
Everything I create is inspired by my love of western culture, nature, gemstones, and my real day-to-day life here in Montana, which involves being outdoors in all types of weather and elements 365 days a year tending to my 4 horses, 4 dogs, 2 goats, 2 geese, and 15 chickens, and soon a thriving small farm/garden.
I am passionate about sourcing locally and supporting my community.
All leather materials have been acquired here in Montana - the leather is also a no-waste product purchased as scrap pieces from a local purse maker here in Lakeside. All of the stones and antlers have been sourced through myself (out on hikes), my family, local vendors (such as Kehoe's in Bigfork where I get my Montana Agate), and local gem shows. I come from a long line of stone collectors and jewelry makers (both my mother & grandmother) and each piece is carefully selected. And finally my feathers are gathered from the birds here at the ranch.
I handcraft each piece personally with presence and love, and no two stones are alike making every scarf slide one-of-a-kind. Every stone holds not only a slice of nature, it holds a specific measurable frequency that your body attunes too. When worn in between your heart and throat, it helps us cultivate more love for ourselves and the world around us - connecting us back to our true authentic nature.
Scarf slides are a perfect addition to your western wardrobe. I wear mine everywhere - from doing chores, riding my horses, running errands, to dressing up for dinners, parties, and special events!
